A simple little film company
We are a husband and wife (mostly wife and husband) production company who make award-winning films about passionate things we love. From a struggling Ski Hill in Alabama–to an empathetic Cardmaker in Wisconsin. From endangered Bamboo Rod Makers in the Catskills–to Indie Rock bands in Los Angeles.
It doesn’t have to be big, just special. And all of these feature documentaries are personal and near and dear to our hearts. We’re the little people telling little stories that make huge impacts on audiences all around the world. Because if we don’t do it, who will?
Mark Davis
DirectorMark Allen Davis is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, who directs, shoots and edits heartfelt portraits of Americana that serve as a reminder to audiences everywhere of the inspiring humanity that exists within us all.
When he’s not filming he can usually be found on a trout stream in the Catskills.
Jan Jensen
Executive ProducerJan Jensen oversees all of the production and business operations of Tin Boat Productions, a company she co-founded with her husband in 2014. Together they travel around the country filming stories of craft, inspiration and the obscure.
When she’s not on set, she can be found playing tennis or petting a dog.
